EMBRACING FEEDBACK, EVEN IF IT HURTS

The successful journey of becoming a great leader requires that we receive feedback on how we can improve along the way. When someone gives you constructive feedback are you open to it? Do your emotions stay in check or do you get defensive? Are you missing out on feedback opportunities because people are fearful of how you may react? This session will explore the psychology behind our emotions and reactions, and how we can  be more open to feedback, explore and understand it. Most importantly, do something with it to become a better version of ourselves.

This session will show you how to:

  • Seek out useful feedback.
  • Receive feedback, non-defensively, and seek to understand it.
  • Take action on the feedback and close the loop.
  • Apply your insights to coach and counsel others to embrace feedback, both informally and formally (e.g. 360 reviews, performance reviews, etc)
