Join Our Monthly Career Transition Group (free event for everyone)

Topic: Designing What's Next: A Smarter Way to Navigate Career Change

As an HR community, we’re committed to supporting one another—especially during times of transition. Whether you're facing unemployment or underemployment, SDHR Forum is here to help. Our Career Transition Group is a monthly virtual series designed to bring together job seekers and community leaders for guidance, encouragement, and most importantly—connection.

Each session focuses on a key area of the job search, such as resumes, interviews, networking, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your progress, discuss challenges, and explore ways the group can support you along the way.

By participating, you'll gain valuable resources, renewed motivation, and a sense of community as you navigate your next career step.

    Upcoming Session

Date: February 25th at 3:00pm PT
Speaker:  Joel Stern (Career Coach with a corporate recruiting background)
Topic: Designing What’s Next: A Smarter Way to Navigate Career Change

    Session Summary:

Career transitions rarely come with a clear playbook. This session offers a structured way to move forward with more clarity and intention without simply rushing into the next role.

Joel introduces a design-thinking approach to career decisions. Rather than asking “What’s the right next job?” we’ll focus on asking better questions, practical reflection and how small experiments reduce risk and increase insight.

This isn’t about finding the single perfect role. It’s about building a repeatable way to make thoughtful career decisions — now and for future transitions. If you’re at an inflection point (or sense one coming), this session will give you structure and momentum to move forward with confidence.

    Flexible Attendance:
While we encourage regular participation, we understand schedules can vary—so you're welcome to join whenever you're able. Everyone is welcome!

Zoom Meeting Details: To be sent out at a later date

We look forward to having you join us!
